Meet Alexis: Our April Brocc' Star

Our April DNO Brocc’ Star is Alexis Allard! Alexis has been with our Quality Assurance team since 2021 – her one-year anniversary is in June. When she joined our team, Alexis was attending college at Ohio State University studying Food Science and Technology. She has since graduated with her Bachelor’s in December of last year. She chose this field of study because she is interested in the organic chemistry behind food, and the way it affects the people who eat it.

Alexis was nominated by several of her peers to be this month’s DNO Brocc’ Star. Her nominators said they most appreciate her initiative to anticipate and solve problems on the production floor before they happen. They also appreciate the support she gives her teammates to ensure everyone is successful. “Alexis is a hard-working person who’s dedicated to practicing food safety and doing the right thing. We’re lucky to have her on our team,” said Quality Assurance Supervisor, Logan Johnson.

Alexis says she most loves how hands-on her role is and how much time she gets to spend on the production floor. Alexis said that working in QA is fun for her and that she has a great relationship with the rest of her team. She feels fulfilled by her role because she knows that she is helping our customers by making sure that the food they are receiving is safe.

When she’s not at work, Alexis enjoys playing video games—especially Madden—and watching Netflix. Right now, she’s rewatching Community. She also enjoys time with her 16-month-old niece.
